District Assemblies:

Denton and Audenshaw District Assembly and Dukinfield District Assembly are responsible for street cleaning, highway maintenance and parks and grounds maintenance services in their respective townships.

The Councillors in that District Assembly meet frequently in publicly accessible venues in their towns to make decisions affecting the area.  All local DA services are managed by a Town Manager. The Town Manager for Denton and Audenshaw DA and the Dukinfield DA is Mr Stuart Mollison.

Tameside Community Safety Unit:

The role of the Community Safety Team within Tameside MBC is in the co-ordination and delivery of all aspects of community safety, to ensure that the council fulfils its statutory duties and responds effectively to the needs and concerns of the public.

• Street scene: begging; anti-social drinking; street prostitution and kerb-crawling; street drugs market.
• Nuisance neighbours: intimidation and harassment; noise, rowdy and nuisance behaviour; hoax calls; animal related problems; vehicle related nuisance.
• Environmental crime: criminal damage / vandalism; graffiti and fly-posting; youths causing annoyance; fly-tipping; litter and waste; abandoned vehicles; fireworks misuse.

Tameside Patrollers:

The Patrollers are NOT a fast response service. They provide a uniformed presence and backup assistance to residents suffering from anti-social behaviour issues, youth annoyance to abandoned vehicles and fly-tipping, etc.
